What is Mr. Cornwall's Super Duper Everlasting Oil? // Odie's Oil Products
Applying Super Duper Oil to Redwood Table | Non-Toxic Wood Finish
Super Duper Oil + Espresso Pigment | Non-Toxic Wood Stain
WHAT IT IS-
Mr. Cornwall’s Super Duper Everlasting Oil (MCSD) is an exceptional multi use finish. Its thinner formulation and look is similar to that of a danish oil but with the strength, durability, versatility and all natural, food safe qualities you’ve come to expect with Odysseus Cornwall’s Outstanding Oils and Waxes. Food safe, free from petroleum derived solvents and non toxic, containing no added driers, heavy metals or part 2 catalyst.
WHAT IT DOES-
Mr. Cornwall’s Super Duper Everlasting Oil provides a little more warmth and is less lustrous than Odie’s Universal Oil all on its own, giving a beautiful danish oil look and feel. It works hand in hand with Mr. Cornwall’s Creative Colors by where the pigments are added directly into the oil to create an easy to use stain. When used over Odie’s Universal Oil or Wood Butter as a topcoat it will actually step up the sheen! SDO penetrates, cross links and bonds molecularly, becoming one with any surface it’s applied to. It does not sit on top as a shell or film like many conventional finishes. It protects, stabilizes, beautifies, densifies and enhances any surface easily, safely and naturally. It cures fast and hard while also remaining flexible. This means it will never peel, flake, chip, delaminate, wrinkle or leave unsightly white scratch marks or cracks!
WHAT YOU CAN USE IT ON-
Super Duper Oil can be applied to everything from wood, metal, leather and concrete to plastic, vinyl, stone and more! Works for interior and exterior applications. Great for all species of wood, exotic and domestic, solid or veneer. Formulated to work on even the oiliest of woods. Finish flooring, whether it be wood, concrete, terrazzo, bamboo or even cork! Use it on boats and brightwork, decks, siding, fences, gates, fine furniture, patio furniture, cabinetry, tables, bar tops, countertops, bowls, charcuterie and cutting boards, spoons, knife and ax handles. Toys, auto detail, hot tub covers and even use it on a squeaky hinge! The list goes on and on!
WHY YOU NEED IT-
Mr. Cornwall’s Super Duper Everlasting Oil is an all around versatile finish that is easy to use, works hand in hand with Mr. Cornwall’s Creative colors and gives you the looks and feel of a danish oil format finish with the strength and durability of Odie’s Universal Oil. It’s a proprietary blend of the finest oils and waxes, born out of inspiration, hard work and a driving need to solve problems. The culmination of 40+ years of research, development and field testing performed in the most extreme environments produced a revolutionary product that out performs and out covers the competition with unparalleled protection, versatility, beauty, durability and value, all without the use of ANY toxic chemicals, petroleum derived solvents, isocyanate hardeners, heavy metals or added driers.

Approximately 35-50 Sq. Ft per oz on metal depending on surface texture.
Approximately 50+ Sq. Ft on epoxy
TO USE-
-Stir or mix well as ingredients may settle over time
-Apply sparingly with the desired applicator, non woven pad (rated equal to or just higher than your last sanding grit) brush, roller or even spray gun and massage the oil into the surface using circular motions when possible. The friction from the application process helps to loosen up and drive the oil into the surface. Remember a little goes a long way, do not over apply!
-Once the finish has been thoroughly worked into the surface, allow to set up for approximately 10 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the surface applied to (45-60 minutes typically being the ideal time for wood) For surfaces like leather, metal, plastic, stone, epoxy and concrete, you can buff off almost immediately after application. Do not allow the product to set for more than 8-10 hours, this may result in a reapplication to reactivate the finish for a proper buff/wipe off.
-Now it’s time to Buff Off and remove any and all excess/residual oil from the surface until dry to touch. Take a clean terry cotton towel and scrub the surface clean, making sure to regularly flip to a clean section of towel as it gets loaded up with oil. Switch to a clean towel if/when needed. If you can swipe a clean finger across the surface without leaving a mark, you are done!
-Allow a day between coats, 2-3 lights coats recommended
-Please allow 3-5 days cure time after final coat before being subjected to standing liquids. Most surfaces can be handled almost immediately and lightly used within 24-48 hrs.
-Additional coats of your favorite Odysseus Cornwall’s finish, Odie’s Universal Oil, Odie’s Wood Butter or Super Duper Oil can be applied using the same easy steps as above. We recommend waiting a day between coats with the exception of Odie’s Waxes, if top coating with Odie’s waxes, ideally, we recommend 3-5 days cure time.
-For non porous surfaces like epoxy resin, metal, stone and polished concrete much less oil is needed in the application process, please see coverage metrics.
TO MAINTAIN-
The only way to wear the finish away is to wear the surface away itself. If and when the time comes for some maintenance, whether it’s your floor, a countertop, tabletop or cutting board etc, simply clean the surface (check out how to clean your Odie’s treated surfaces here) and apply another light coat as per the instructions above. For exterior projects, maintenance will depend on the direct exposure to the elements and the products originally used to finish the project. In extreme conditions, maintenance could be once a year to once every several years or longer in normal conditions.

Super Duper Oil
This is great stuff! We are in the process of building our new "retirement" home, and chose butcher block for the kitchen countertops. After much research online, we selected Odie's Oil as the finish we wanted to use. I had sent a message to Odie's requesting assistance, and received a personal phone call from a very nice Odie's Oil man that same day to answer my questions. Our builder has remarked several times as he has been applying the Super Duper Oil to our new butcher block how well he likes the product. Thank you!

I like the consistency of the oil. It is easy to apply and becomes part of the wood.

Super duper oil
Excellent finish!

Great by itself or in combination
I like to use the Everlasting Oil as a starting finish on redwood. A few coats allowed to soak in and stabilize the wood is a good base to then move to Odie's Oil.

Amazing results
I have only used it on a test piece so far but so amazed by the ease of use and how ell it works. lots of use soon to come.

Penetrating oil
Used before original odies oil on many pieces and the finish is fantastic.

Great product
I previously had tried out the regular Odie‘s Oil that was a little more „buttery and waxy“ in texture. While I liked it, I was recommended the Super Duper oil for a more liquid application. It worked great and left the finish I was looking for. Funny enough, next time I was working on a wood project outside, the universal oil liquified when it got heated in the sun and afterwards was as easy to apply as the Super Duper Oil. I used up both oils and was very happy with the results.

Great addition to product line!
Great product - super easy to apply, thinnest of all the formulas. Definitely takes a few good coats, but I like this as a base coat followed by the standard Odies oil. I am amazed how fast this dries if applied per directions. A little goes a long way. By the way, smells fantastic!
