WHAT IT DOES-
Odie’s Safer Solvent is used to clean and prepare surfaces for finishing, to strip away old wax, for general clean-up, and as a thinner and degreaser. Odie’s Safer Solvent is a non toxic replacement for mineral spirits, toluene, turpentine, xylene, naphtha, acetone and other nasties.
WHAT YOU CAN USE IT ON-
Odie’s Safer Solvent is the recommended clean-up and prep for all Odie’s Oil finish products. Use on wood, metal, stone, plastic and more. Odie’s Safer Solvent can be used to create a solvent based finish with Odie’s Universal oil or Mr. Cornwall’s Super Duper Everlasting Oil and even make a solvent based stain with either oil and Mr. Cornwall’s Creative Colors.

TO USE-
Slightly dampen a rag and wipe the surface clean and allow to flash off until dry. For thinning add up to 2 parts solvent and mix well.

Amazing!
This solvent is the best smelling product in my shop and I get excited when i get to use it. It really works great and I don't have to worry about getting some on my hands or breathing in toxic fumes!

As Effective as It is Pleasant to Use
Used OSS to strip wax layer before re-oiling a table top. Worked very well and, while we opened windows to get some cross-ventilation (the table was not easily moved from the living area of the house), the odor was nearly gone by evening. What little odor remained was a pleasant citrus scent. Very pleased.
