WHAT IT DOES-
Odie’s Safer Solventis used to clean and prepare surfaces forfinishing,to strip away old wax, for general clean-up, and as a thinner and degreaser. Odie’s Safer Solventis a non toxic replacement for mineral spirits, toluene, turpentine, xylene, naphtha, acetone and other nasties.
WHAT YOU CAN USE IT ON-
Odie’s Safer Solventis the recommended clean-up and prep for all Odie’s Oil finish products. Use on wood, metal, stone, plastic and more. Odie’s Safer Solvent can be used to create a solvent based finish with Odie’s Universal oil or Mr. Cornwall’s Super Duper Everlasting Oil and even make a solvent based stain with either oil and Mr. Cornwall’s Creative Colors.

32 oz reusable glass jar
TO USE-
Slightly dampen a rag and wipe the surface clean and allow to flash off until dry. For thinning add up to 2 parts solvent and mix well.

I love this stuff. It has taken off oil & wax off knife scales and handles with hardly any work or effort at all and leaves no grease residue at all. Smells great much better than Asitone. I will continue using it for my needs and would recommend it.

Mix two parts solvent and one part super duper oil and add about tablespoon pigment and you get a great stain.

Cleans rust on steel
A white Scotts Brite pad and Odies Safer Solvent, easily cleaned the rust off the hand saws that were handed down to me. This stuff works great to restore antiques, even cleaned up cast iron handles as well. Great product.

I make my own finishes. I use this solvent (d-limenol) and (xylene). This smells amazing and does a great job.

MCM dresser refinishing
This solvent worked tremendously after stripping a painted MCM dresser. Love the fact that it is safer to use than other chemicals and end result is fabulous for refinishing!! I am confident in applying a new finish as an amateur that I have clean and prepared surface!!
