Odie’s Oil Application Steps for Polished Concrete
- Grind surface with desired media (metals, pads, and or pucks).
- Apply any repairs if needed (spall ,grout, ardex, etc).
- Re-grind with desired media (metals, pads and or pucks). Stopping at 400 grit or below
- Vacuum and clean surface of dust and debris thoroughly.
- Apply Odie's Universal Oil with a burnisher on low speed with a hog's hair pad or finishing pad.
- After full application, switch to clean dry pads and burnish/buff surface at a moderate pace being sure to change to new clean pads regularly and burnish/buff until ALL Odie's Universal Oil is removed from the surface and is completely dry to touch.
- If polishing to a 800 grit or higher:
- Polish surface to 400 grit following steps 1-3
- Vacuum and clean surface of dust and debris thoroughly.
- Apply Odie's Universal Oil as the densifier coat with a burnisher on low speed with a hog's hair pad or finishing pad.
- After full application, switch to clean dry pads and burnish/buff surface at a moderate pace being sure to change to new clean pads regularly and burnish/buff until ALL Odie's Universal Oil is removed from the surface and is completely dry to touch.
- After one hour the surface will be ready for final polish.
- Polish to 800 grit and re-apply Odie's Universal Oil as the final top coat with a burnisher on low speed with a hog's hair pad or a finishing pad.
- After full application, switch to clean dry pads and burnish/buff at a moderate pace being sure to change to new clean pads regularly and burnish/buff until ALL Odie's Universal Oil is removed from the surface and is completely dry to touch.
8. If polishing to 1500, 3000 grit or higher:
- Apply Odie's oil at 800 grit as the densifier coat with a burnisher on low speed with a hog's hair pad or a finishing pad.
- After full application, switch to clean dry pads and burnish/buff at a moderate pace being sure to change to new clean pads regularly and burnish/buff until ALL Odie's Universal Oil is removed from the surface and is completely dry to touch.
- After one hour the surface will be ready for final polish.
- Polish to 1500 grit or through to 3000 grit or higher and re-apply Odie’s Universal Oil as the final top coat with a burnisher on low speed with a hog's hair pad or a finishing pad.
- After full application, switch to clean dry pads and burnish/buff at a moderate pace being sure to change to new clean pads regularly and burnish/buff until ALL Odie's Universal Oil is removed from the surface and is completely dry to touch.
Odie’s Oil Application Steps for Polished Counter Tops
*For full Aggregate (Stone) exposure use Hybrid Pad then below steps.

Apply Odie’s as densifier. Apply Odie’s with hand polisher low speed or buffer low speed until completely dry.

800 gloss
-
1500 high sheen
-
3000 Apply Odie’s with hand polisher low speed or buffer low speed until completely dry.
Note! Do not over oil, you expect about 600sqft of coverage per jar! Go back over if needed.
For a salt and pepper finish.
Start with 50 grit or zenith pad (from Sase)
Then perform above steps.
